Stavros Thessaloniki is a few km distant from Lake Volvi. It is next to Lake Koronia, which is about 11.5 km away. Together, the two lakes are known as “Lake Koronia – Volvi,” a wetland of worldwide significance.
The Wetland Koronia – Volvi Information Centre in Apollonia town may serve as the starting point for your excursions around Volvi Lake. An environmental exhibition on the lake and the animals it supports is located in the centre.
